Ss: Yes, There are Lantern Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, Tomb sweeping Day, Mid-autumn Day, New Year’s Day, May 1st, National Day… T: How do our Chinese people celebrate the Spring Festival? Ss: 1. Before the Spring Festival, we clean our houses , decorate our rooms and put red spring couplets on our doors and walls. Most people do Spring Festival shopping, we buy a lot of things such as new clothes, shoes, food etc. 2. On the eve of the Spring Festival, every member is present at the Family reunion dinner. Traditional holiday food is served, such as whole chicken symbolizing family reunion and whole fish representing surplus in family income. Children are very happy to get lucky money from their parents and relatives. 3. On New year’s Day, we begin to visit our close friends and relatives.
