In ou r coun try, moral hazard in m edical in su rance ha s always been very con sp icuou s. To m axim ize their p rofit, doctors and p atien ts either exce ssively supp ly or exce ssively dem and the m edical service. Th is ha s led to unrea sonab le and rem arkab le increa se in m edical exp enditu re and great wa ste in m ed ical re sou rce s. A t the sam e tim e , Moral hazard ha s deteriorated the relation sh ip between doctors and p atien ts and degraded the social in tegrity.
