These special functions include: antibacterial, moisture transferring, quick drying, etc. Since late 1990s, due to the increase of material and manpower cost, the change of the textile industry structure, the abolition of global textile quotas and cheap socks imported from China and Southeast Asia, the value of hosiery industry decreases. In this study, general surveys of manufacturers need, industry characteristics, industrial structure, import/export proportion, working population and production value to the hosiery industry are made. Policy advises are made to the whole hosiery industry and individual companies or factories. We use SWOT to analyze and frame the response strategies.
