1．表示倍数的三种句型 (1)．..times as＋原级＋as... Peters jacket looked just the same as Jacks，but it cost twice as much as his. 彼得的夹克衫看起来与杰克的一样，但却是他价钱的两倍。 (2)．..times the size/length/width/height，etc.＋of... This table is three times the length of that one. 这张桌子是那张的三倍长。 (3)．..times＋比较级＋than... This table is three times bigger than that one. 这张桌子比那张大三倍。 2．同等程度的比较 用as...as，the same...as...，such...as引导。 He is a worker as good as Peter.(＝He is as good a worker as Peter.) 他和彼得一样是个好工人。 Linda is the same height as Jenny. 琳达和詹妮一样高。 Henry is such a good student as Peter. 亨利和彼得一样是个好学生。 3．与比较级有关的结构及运用比较级的注意事项 (1)“the＋比较级……，the＋比较级……”意为“越……就越……”。 The more careful you are，the fewer mistakes youll make. 你越仔细，你出的错就越少。 (2)“the＋比较级＋of the two＋名词”表示“两者中较……的那个”。 Of the two coats，Id choose the cheaper one to spare some money for a book. 两件外衣我选择较便宜的一件，为了匀出钱来买书。 (3)否定＋比较级＝最高级 He has never spent a more worrying day. 他过了最担心的一天。 —Do you think the weather is good enough for an outing? ——你认为这天气足够好以便出去郊游吗？ —Yes，you couldnt hope for a nicer day at this time of the month. ——是的，没有比这一天更好的。 (4)比较级的修饰语：much，even，far，rather，still，any，no，a bit，a little，two metres，a great deal，a lot，by far等。 Are you feeling any better now？你现在感觉好点了吗？ How much better she looked without her glasses! 她不戴眼镜看起来好得多。 1．有些副词还可以作连词，作副词时常放在句末。如：though，(ever)since，in case等。 You probably wont need to call—but take my number，just in case. 你很可能无需打电话，不过还是记下我的电话号码吧，以防万一。 2．副词修饰形容词或其他副词时，一般位于被修饰词的前面，但enough要放在被修饰词的后面。 —Have you got accustomed to your new job? ——你适应新工作了吗？ —Well，yes.Its not as good as I expected，though. ——是的，但是没有我预料中的好。 We only had $100 and that was nowhere near enough to buy a new computer. 我们只有100 美元，离买台新电脑的钱还差得远呢。 Although she did not know Boston well，she made her way easily enough to the post office. 虽然她对波士顿不熟，但她仍然很轻松地到了邮局。 3．can not/never与enough或too连用表示“无论怎样都不过分；越……越好”。 —I was riding alone in the street and all of a sudden，a car cut in and knocked me down. ——我正独自在街上骑车，突然一个汽车开过来把我撞倒了。 —You can never be too careful in the street. ——
