Inthispaper,withX-rayanalysisofthecorrosionproductsofdrillpipes,itwas concludedthatthemaincomponentofcorrosionproductswasY-Fe203.The corrosiveabiliytofpartcomponentsindrillingfluidswasinvestigatedbystatic weightlosstest,itwasfoundedthat02wasthemaindepolarizer.Theoccurrenceof C032-,HC032-andCa2+contributedtoformingprotectionfilmonthesurfaceofmetal sampleswhichpalliatedthecorrosion.Buttheprotectionfilmcouldbedestroyedby Cl.Organicadditivesindrillingfluidscausedtouniformcorrosion.Byanalyzingthe samplecorrodedintherotatingapparatusbyXPS,itwasshowedthatthecomponents ofsurfaceofthespecimenswereelementsofC,O,Fe.Withtheconditionof90C andaeratingoxygen,theelementofFeonthesurfaceofthespecimenwasmainlyin theformofY-Fe00HwithlittleFe30a.Onthecontrary.theelementofFewas mainlyintheformofFe304in600CAlargeamountoforganiccompoundcouldbe absorbedonthesurfaceofspecimens.WhentheprotectionfilmwaspenetratedbyCl-, itlostthefunctionofprotectingmetalrfomcorrosion.
