ATaxonomicStudyontheTribePyraustinifromtheMainlandof
China(Lepidoptera:Crambidae:Pyraustinae)

ThisdissertationfocusesonthetaxonomyofPyraustinifromthemainlandofChina,which
belongstoPyraustinaeofCrambidae.Itmainlyconsistsoftwoparts:thegeneralpartandthe
taxonomicpart
Inthegeneralpart,theresearchhistoryandthepresentstatusofPyraloidea,Pyralidae(s.lot.)
andPyraustinaearebrieflyintroducedonaworldbasis.Differenttaxonomicsystemsandthe
opinionsofdifferentauthorsontheclassificationsofthefamiliesinPyraloideaandthe
subfamiliesinPyralidae(s.lot.)aresummarized.GeneralmorphologyofPyraustiniisintroduced
andfurtherstudied,withemphasisplacedonsomesynapomorphies:malegenitaliawiththe
editumandsella,andfemalegenitaliawithappendixbursaeandrhomboidsignum.Inaddition,
detailedinformationisprovidedonthebiologyandthemethodsofthepestcontrol.Distribution
ofthegeneraandspeciesbothinChinaandintheworldisanalyzed,withdistributionmapsofthe
generaandtablesofthespeciesprovided.
Thephylogeneticrelationshipsofallthegeneraincludedinthisthesisarediscussedonthe
basisofthetaxonomicstudy.ThecladisticanalysiswasconductedbyusingWincladaand
Hennig86programs.Amajorityruleconsensustreeandastrictconsensustreeareobtained.The
resultshowsthat(Udea(Mimetebulea(Pseudebulea叼ristebulea))))isprobablynotclosely
relatedtotherestPyraustini,whichcanbedividedintothreegroups:Calliboytsgroup,
NepheloborysgroupandPagydagroup.
Inthesystematicpart,172speciesin54generafromthemainlandofChinaaredescribedin
detail.Threenewgenera,Acerbispinagen.nov.,Coalescispinagen.nov.andTorulisquamagen.
nov.areproposed.32speciesaredescribedasnewtoscience,withfourpublishedspecies
included:Ananiarevolubilissp.nov.,Ananiaspinosasp.nov.,Coalescispinaorthocerasp.nov.,
Ecpyrrhorrhoebtaculefiormissp.nov.,Ecpyrrhorrhoedigitaliformissp.nov.,Ecpyrr
