Overview
From January to August, Beijing’s economy continued to grow *
steadily at a high speed. Major indicators for investments,
consumptions and productions have all witnessed an over 10%
growth. In the same period, the actual utilized FDI reached
US$2.98 billion, a YoY growth of 30.9%.
On August 19, the People’s Bank of China announced an
interest rate increase of 0.27 of a percentage point on bench-
mark one-year loans and deposits. *

Driven by the strong economy, Beijing Grade A office market
continued to perform well. Average rental and price increased
slightly compared with that of last quarter, and vacancy rates
continued to decrease.
