It is indi ated that the industrial appli ation of the Type A301 atalyst gives signifi ant energy-saving results and e onomi benefits, a hieving the aim of high output, benefi ial result and long servi e life, so it is a new type of atalyst to be promoted energeti ally. The paper points out that in its use in medium- and small-s ale hemi al fertilizer plants, the hroni a umulative poisoning by the tra e sulfur in the fresh syngas and the internal leakage of the equipment and piping in the synloop are the main reasons that affe t the result in the use of the atalyst and its servi e life. The favorable onditions are analyzedfor the use of theType A301 atalyst in large-s ale ammonia plants. It is hoped that it will be promoted and used in large ammonia plants.
