中国医学影像技术2010 年第26 卷第4 期　Chin J M ed maging T echn ol, 2010, V ol 26, No 4 ·635 · 　 Observation with fMRI on central mechanisms of acupuncture at ST36 using reinforcing and reducing techniques ＊ J IAN G H ong , WA N G P ei-j un , ZH AO X iao-hu (D ep artment of Medical Imag ing , Tongj i H o p ital of Tongj i Univ er ity , Shanghai 200065, China) [Abstract] 　Objective　T o ex plore the central mechanisms when induced by acupuncture at S T 36 using different needling techniques w ith functio nal mag ne tic reso nance imaging (fM R ).Methods　T hirty-two healthy y oung vo luntee rs were en- ro lled in the experiment.Elev en vo luntee rs accepted acupuncture a t ST 36 using reinfor cing techniques fo r electr oacupuncture (EA ), 11 accepted acupuncture using reducing techniques fo r EA, and the rest 10 accepted acupunctur e at sham EA .T he data of fM R were co llected and analy zed with sta tistical parame tric mapping (SP M 2)after r eal EA at ST 36 or sham EA in rig ht leg .Results　Five minutes after acupuncture, fM R data of reinfo rcing g ro up demo nstr ated sig nificant activ atio n in the bilateral caudate nucleus, thalamus, left insula, cing ulate g yr us, dentate bo dy of ce rebellum.F rom 20 to 30 minutes after acupuncture, fM R data demo nstrated significant activation of true acupuncture g ro ups in the left thalamus, paracentral lob- ule, g y rus precent ralis, middle tempora l gy rus, middle fr ontal gy rus, insula, bila te ral caudate nucleus, hemisphaerium ce re- belli, ante rio r and posterio r cing ulate g y rus.T he signal of the r einforcing g ro up for EA w as stro ng er than the r educing gr oup fo r EA .A cupunture of the false point a
