My undergraduate major is Environmental Engineering. I have learned basic undergraduate courses, including Environmental Monitoring Instrumental Analysis and Environmental Microbiology, Water Treatment, Environmental Biotechnology, Sewage and Wastewater Treatment. In addition, my average point in Mathematics and Chemistry is 95 and 87 in the scale of 100. Recently, I am learning Contaminated Site Control and Remediation, and Groundwater Pollution Control. Moreover, as demonstrated in my CV, I took part in some research related to wastewater treatment, and these experiences cultivate my ability of research independently. Based on the experiments, I have published two papers each on biofilm and granular sludge. One paper was accepted by IWA World Water Congress 2010 in Montreal. Recently, I am conducting independently my own project Simultaneous Nitrification and Denitrification in a Continuous Up-Flow Aerobic Granular Sludge Fluidized Bed, aided by National Innovation Experiment Program for Jilin University Students. I would like to apply for graduate admission in the field of microbial mediation removal of metals and nutrients. Additionally, due to the hydrogeological background of my department, I have learned much basic knowledge about site remediation and I am very interested in this field. Therefore, site remediation is another choice.
