So in the paper, an integrated system which compatible w ith original heterogeneous system is introduced. T he syst em is based on distribution monitor data unit ( DM DU) series, include: W ( wide band) , N ( network management ) , R ( recognizing) , T ( transcoding) , M ( mobile) , to use computer software, video processing and hardw are to resolve heterogeneous problems and auto detect traffic accidents, hazardous w eather and cover blind area. It uses WDMDU as wide band platform, instead of SDH , and supplies foundation for online monitoring and crossplatform information processing, then uses RDMDU, TDMDU, MDMDU as three modules to process monitoring in
