D ep artm ent of E lectrical Engineering, Polytech ’N antes, N ante s 44603, France) A b stract: In order to study the influence on the torque ripp le s exerted by the nonsinu so idal flux linkage distribu tion in a p erm anen t m agnet synchronou s motor ( PM SM ) , a con tro l system of the nonsinu so idal PM SM w ith a large cogging torque is sim u lated in M atlab / Sim u link. A n Iterative L earn ing Con tro l ( ILC) algorithm is app lied to comp en sate the sp eed and torque ripp le of the PM SM. Two differen t comp en sation schem e s w ith ILC imp lem en ted in sp eed loop and in torque loop are comp ared. The sim u lation re su lts show that both ILC schem e s can be u sed to comp en sate the torque and sp eed ripp le s.
