Abstract: T he effect of mulching mode on leaf phy iolog ical and population eco logical char acteri tic of rice wa tudied by u ing uper hybrid r ice combination P88S/ 1128 a mater ial under three mulching cultivation mode and bare cultivation ( con- tr ol) . T he re ult howed that mulching mode had a ignificant effect on micro- meteorological factor and individual g rowth of rice. T here wa a ignificant reduction of rice canopy temperature in hot ea on, e pecially in hig h- temperatur e period .
