Model test study of the static property of the Jiangdong
ridge in Hangzhou

Abstract: The Jiangdong Bridge in H angzhou is a spatial cable selfanchored suspension bridge, idth 47m, single
column pylon, separate steel box and singlespan suspension. A total bridge model is designed ith a geometric scale of
116 and a force scale of 14, and the structural static property in service stage is studied using model test. Influence
lines of internal force and displacemen,t and the corresponding loading interval for maxmi um mom ent are determ ined.
Structural behavior in different situations is thoroughly studied. Test and theoretical analysis sho that structural
mechanical property is linear for the completed bridge. There exists shear lag effect in the thin all ide box girder,
hich obviously mi pacts the stress and deformation of the box girder, but the influence on internal forces of the m ain
cables and hangers is quite small.
