35 8 2005 8 魏 琏 王 森 韦承基 ( ( ) 518034) [ ] , : ( ) ; ; , , [] Torsional Design Method of Asymmetric and Irregular Building Under Horizontal Earthquake Action/ Wei Lian, Wang Sen, Wei Chengji( Shenzhen Representi e, Shanghai Weilian Structure Design Office, Shenzhen 518034, China) Abstract Based upon elaborate analysis on torsional design methods of asymmetric and irregular structure under hori- zontal earthquake action, it points out that t he main design principles of an asymmetric building subjected to horizontal earthquake are: the torison of ert ical members induced by the torsional angle of the floor ( rigid diaphragm) can not exceed the allow able alue,the inter-story displacement at outermost frame or shear w all should be less than that re- quired by design code, stresses in plane of the slab should be controlled w it hin acceptable extent under different intensi- ty earthquakes. That current seismic design code only utilizes the torsional displacement ratio to control the floor tori- sion,which seems not reasonable enough since its connotation is the multiple of the floor torsional angle and the dis- tance of floor mass center to t he edge frame or shear wall.
