Abstract: The 21 century has w itnessed Chinas rapid development in w ind power. Large-scale wind pow er de-
velopment is facing great technical and economic challenges. It has been of great urgency for the country to
conduct economic-technical assessment to secure the long-term and sustainable development of w ind industry.
In this respect, the U. S. and urope have conducted a w ealth of studies and obtained fruitful achievements.
Based on the summarization of current research findings in China and the research achievements of it s foreign
counterparts, the problems that need addressing in Chinas large-scale concentrated mode of w ind pow er devel-
opment w ere presented in this paper, w hich include wind pow er delivery and accommodation, wind power bal-
ancing and social benefits analysis and so on.
