Design of wheel speed processing signal based on vehicles AFS

Abstract:By collecting the w heel speed signals of left and right steering w heel and processing them
correspondingly, the vehicles speed, direction of movement and steering characteristics can be calcu-
lated, and the obtained results can be used by the vehicles Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS ).
Based on the analysis of the operating principle of electromagnetic speed sensor and different applica-
tion environments of w heel speed signals, the signal processing circuit is designed w hich consists of
amplifier, filter and limiting shaper.The simulation under ORCAD environment and the road-test
show that the circuit has good filtering performance, small time delay and strong resistance to inter-
ference.
