If there is a continuous wind blowing phenomenon, or the density of seawater uneven distribution, or raining, or the effect of mainland runoff in shallow sea, which can create shallow current. According to the research of shallow current motion equation, especially the research of the geography and currents, this paper explain the important of geography in shallow currents. To further elaborates the authenticity of its important, we on the basis of the shallow currents in China, such as the Kuroshio invasion and Zhejiang coastal terrain on the influence of Zhejiang coast upwelling. What’s more, wind stress is also a important factor to form shallow currents. Under the influence of wind stress, seawater will moves along in the direction of he wind stress firstly, then will be affected by the influence of Coriolis force to change its direction again. Besides, the distance of wind stress and the coast will directly affect the existence of the transports between the offshore surface and the offshore bottom. Therefore, according to the paper, we can know the important of geography and wind stress to the shallow currents. [Key words] shallow currents, geo
