Part of the annual Premio Aretê awards organized by national magazine Tempo Economico, the prize acknowledges the company’s commitment to communicating in an honest and transparent way with communities where it operates. In particular, the judges praised Io vivo d’aria for the way in which it has brought children in the Syracuse area in contact with the company, teaching them about the use of gases in everyday life and giving them a positive experience of the working world. The project, to be featured in the November/December edition of Alizé #73 (page 13), involved more than 300 pupils from schools near the company’s large air separation unit at Priolo. The children and their teachers received special education packs created by Air Liquide Italy’s communications team (workbooks, posters, an educational CD-Rom, and so on), before going on a guided visit of the ASU conducted by the plant’s operational team. “Receiving this award is very satisfying for everyone involved,” says Sabine Robert, Communications Director for Air L
