T he re- quirement of the generators stability has become more and more important. The excitation system plays a very im- portant role in pow er system transient stability controlling. It is needed to pay a particular research to the excitation system, and to establish the excitation system model library in the power system simulation softw are. The operators who in charge of the pow er netw ork dispatching can use the simulation software w ith the library to do a precisely stability analyze. This paper expounds the application of identification theory in generator excitation system parame- ters testing, and briefly illustrates the measurement using this theory for the parameters identification of Gu-T ianxi Pow er house.
