Therefore,according to the coastal railway planning mode specified in Medium and Long Term Railway Network Plan (revised in2008),thispaper analyzed relevant issues of the coastal port railway,including the passenger and freight transport demand and volume features at different areas,the cargo constitute and flow direction features,the paths and features of collecting and distributing system behind the port railway branch lines. Furthermore,according to the existing coastal railway construction standard, freight transport facility distribution, capacity adaptability and the transportation mode,this paper analyzed the main factors which have influence on the freight transport.
