Beijing Children’s Hospital, Capital Medical University, 100045 Beijing, China Abstract Objective  To investigate the willingness of support doctors from hospitals to support community health 【 】 services (CHS) in Beijing so as to evaluate the performance and the existing problems. Methods  The questionnaire surveys were conducted among 118 support doctors from hospital in Beijing and individual interviews were conducted for 2 support doctors, 2 officials from the partner hospitals, and 2 medical professional from the CHS centers in January 2008. Results  Some 62.9% of the support doctors had the willingness to provide services in community, and 90.5% had the willingness to tutor the community doctors.Conclusion  There is some recognition resistance from support doctors, so the related organizations need to explore the motivation of the hospitals in supporting community, and to improve long-term effective mechanism of harmonious interests and supervisory management.
