Luoyang Zhongmai mining company, Luoyang 471400, china 2.Songxian SanJin mining company, Songxian 471400, china Abstract This paper has introduced the geology characteristics of the Hejiacun quartz-vein type molybdenum deposit. We have analyzed the characteristics of the alterations, and reviewed the forms and regulations of space distribution of ore bodys. We pointed out that the marks of prospecting the same type deposits are faults at various directions, especially where faults intersecting. Luoyang Zhongmai mining company is the first company that exploited the deposit, which established in 2006. Hejiacun Mo deposit belongs to typical quartz-vein type Mo deposits that controlled by the faults.The host rocks of the deposit are Mesoproterozoic andesitic volcanic rocks of the Xiong’er Group. The metallic minerals are Galena、Sphalerite、Pyrite、Pyrrhotite and Molybdenite; The main gangue mineral are K-feldspar、Albite、Quartz、 Fluorite、Calcite、Chlorite、Biotite、Hornblende. This type of Mo deposits is a newly discovered type in Henan province and have great prospecting potential.
