(Resource and Env ironment Engineering Institute, East China niversity of Science and Technology, Shanghai 200237) Abstract: Under various temperatures, the enz mat ic act ivities of microorganisms and t he pollutants release in the sediment w ere studied in order to investigate the effect of t emperat ure on the bioremediat ion of sediments. The re- sults show ed that the activit ies of deh drogenase, urease and phosphatase of t he sediment increased significantl when the temperature raised, meanw hile the cellulase activit was affect ed litt le b temperature. In 4 e and 10 e , the pol- lutants release amount and m icroorganisms activit were low er, the qualit of the overl ing water was relativel sta- ble. In 20~ 37 e , the pollutants release amount and metabolism of microorganism increased distinctl , the selfpurifi- cation abilit of wat er bod w as enhanced. Considering the integrated effect, 20~ 30 e was suitable for the bioremed- iation of sediments. Furthermore, the act ivit of deh drogenase of the sediment was raised in pH 9. 0 and b adding glucose.
