Module7 Unit 1 It’s very hot. Teaching contents : Theme : It’s very hot. Language : This planet is near to the sun. It’s very hot. This plant is far from the sun. It’s very cold. Words : space, sun, planet, ring, moon, night, banana, at all. Teaching steps : Greetings :Good morning/afternoon boys and girls . Nice to see you again . How are you? Then the pupils greet me in the same way. Warmer: 1 Sing a song. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star 2 Revise the adjective the Ss know including colors, eg. small, naughty, clever, short, thin, fat, small, long, red, yellow. 3. Teaching Presentations: Activity 1. Listen, point, and find “hot…” . 1 Open your books to Module7, Unite1, please. Look at 2 Ask the children to look at the 3 Point to the people doing different activities and ask What are they doing? Provide the new vocabulary and write it on the board .And teach the new words. 4 Play the cassette. The children listen and follow in their books. 5 Play the cassette again. Pause after each dialogue and perform an action to aid comprehension. 6 Repeat. This time pause for the children to carry out the indicated movements. 7 Divided the class into four groups, with each group taking on a role in the dialogue, Ms Smart, Lingling, Amy and Sam. 8 Encourage the whole class to say the dialogue, with each group saying its corresponding role. Activity 2. 1 The children now act out the dialogue in pairs. 2 Call volunteers to the front of the class to act out the dialogue to their classmates. Activity 3. Ask the students to line out “hot” and ask them to read out that whole sentences. And ask them to find out all the adjectives and use them to make a sentence. 4. Homework : 1 Work in Activity Book .
