Let’s recall(回顾) the steps of how John saved the woman, remember to use “First, next, then,…, finally…”. John’s steps to give first aid on Mrs. Slade: First: asked nearby people for bandages Next: used some tea towels and tape to treat the injuries Then: applied pressure to the wounds to slow the bleeding Finally: waited until the police and ambulance arrived. Summing up: The general steps to give first aid on a stabbed person: First: Do not move the person. Next: Treat the injuries with bandages. Then: Apply pressure to the wound to slow the bleeding. Finally: Wait until the ambulance arrives. Suppose a journalist is interviewing you about John’s actions. What comment would you give? These words might be helpful to you.
