The effects of the bound, resolution, and other parameters for uniform and nonuniform quantization schemes are dis- cussed. Good performance of decodin under properly desi ned quantization can be obtained as shown by simulations. Furthermore, we found that the quantization of hi h order for the mid-variables of BP decodin al orithm can improve the performance and reduce the error floor of LDPC codes at re ions of hi h si na-l to-noise ratio.
