Expression of s orage capaci y ra io is ob ained according o i s defini ion, combined wi h rela ionship be ween void ra io and effec ive s ress , a formula be ween s orage capaci y ra io and void ra io is derived.The heore ical analysis resul s show ha when he se lemen deforma- ion on land happens, he void ra io decreases, and he s orage capaci y ra io is also decreased; when he ground rebound deforms, he void ra io increases, and s orage capaci y is also increased. The physical modeling is se up, he land subsidence and rebound of wa er bearing s ra um is simula e by increasing and reducing he load of overlying, and he change of s orage capaci y ra io is s udied , he change of ground deferma ion and s ress are analyed, so he resul s are he same wi h ha of he heore ical analysis .
