This Activity is concerned supporting the client during Production Start-up and assisting with resolving any problems encountered. While Intentia provide assistance during Production Start-up, during this period there is much that can be done by the project personnel. This includes establishing an internal help desk, locating key users at strategic operating points and having the Process Owners and Project Responsible in ‘visible’ roles. In this Activity, the client project team review all the ideas and needs for future improvement that have been generated by the project. These are evaluated and a consensus reached on a prioritization of these based on business benefit. This information is then presented to Project Management who prepare an Initial Improvement Plan for submission to the Steering Committee for approval. This is an optional Activity conducted when the scope of the project includes a more detailed review of current business processes and the possibilities for improvement of these. Such improvement may arise from adjusting the sequence of processes and/or activities, directly improving the processes and /or suggesting how the process may be improved through the use of Movex. It can also be conducted in projects where the size and complexity requires a close inspection and co-operation of a number of different areas of the business and/or the business is going through a period of substantial change. The work conducted in the Position Phase is dependent on the particular project and can be more or less intensive depending upon the terms of reference agreed in the Solution Contract. The Implex project model allows for a review of client business processes at two levels:- Enterprise Map - This is a mapping of the Clients business processes using the Intentia Enterprise Model.
