Methods Totally 90 PLC patients underw ent operations w ere interview ed to know the status of their social support and compare the compliance of patients with differ ent social support . Results The social support of patients w ith PLC w as higher than that of nor mal people( P 0. 01) . Higher social support resulted in better compliance to alimentary control ( P 00 1) . Significant differences w er e also observed on the total score of social support and score in each dimension in patient w ith differ ent compliances( P 0. 05 or P 0. 01) . Conclusion M ore attention should be attached to social supports in the nursing pr ocess to impr ove compliance to alimentary control of patients.
