The flux of carbon to the atmo- 2 sphere occurs pri marily i n the for m of CO and is the result of soil respiration ,which makes that the soil respiration is one of the maj or pathways to influ- 2 ence the global carbon cycle .Increasing release of carbon fro mthe soils could significantly exacerbate the increase of atmospheric CO and reinforce the 2 greenhouse war mi ng effect . The research on the soil respiration will be helpf ul to us co mprehensively knowingthe global carbon cycle and the global war m- ing . In this paper ,the factors affecting soil respiration ,such as natural conditions and human activities ,were discussed . As a complicate ecological pro- cess , the soil respiration is affected not only by the biological factors( vegetation and microorganism, etc . ) , but also by environmental factors(tempera- ture , moisture and pH, etc . ) .
