Objective To compare the efficacy and toxicity of intravesical irrigation of mitomycin C( MM C) versus hydroxycamptothecin( HCPT ) in preventing the recurrence of bladder cancer. Methods A total of 13 trials w as eligible for the inclusion criteria, of which 416 patients w ere treated with M MC and 595 cases w ith HCPT . Odds ratio( OR) and it s 95% confidence interval( CI) were used as the comparison parameter of efficacy and toxicity.The statistical analysis was performed using RevMan5 software.Results T he results of Metaanalysis showed that HCPT w as signif icantly superior to MMC in the prevention of tumor recurrence with less irritation sign of bladder and peripheral blood leucocyte descendent (P 001) . Conclusion The results of this metaanalysis suggest that intravesical irrigation of HCPT is better than that of MMC in preventing the recurrence of bladder cancer. Key words!
