From the perspectives of dispersion-adsorption, colloid chem istry and interface chem istry, the latest developments in research of the relationship between molecular structure and its perform- ance, aswell as themechanism ofpolycarboxylate-type superplasticizers, were summarized and analyzed. F inally, con- sidering the problems appeared in study and application, and the requirement for concrete development, the new trends of developing polycarboxylate superplasticizersmarketwere discussed.
