The results showed that the Zn s average content of the soils on the both sides ofhighwaywas thehighest, thenextwasPb, Cuwas the lowest relatively. W ithin 35 meters to thehighway, as the distance increased, the contentofheavy metals pollution reduced. Out of the range of 35meters, the contentwas little, and had no changesbasically. According to the standards ofGB 15618- 1995, the environmentalquality grade of the soils on theboth sides ofhighway is above level. The effect ofhighways operation to the soils is still little now.
