This paper adopted analysis content method based on word frequency and used the EXCEL as tools to deal with the 50174 keywords from the five information journals and three all - round library and information journals collected by the China Social Science Index (CSSCI) from 1998 to 2004 . The paper studied these keywords not only from the whole but also the mutative situation of some keyword . It described some research hotspot of information science based on the keyword .
