THE WEEK THAT WAS WEEK 16 PEAK FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 15th April 2012 (WEEK 16) PUTs declined this week across all trading demographics with AP 18-39 posting the highest loss YOY (-5%). AP 18-49 (-4%), AP 5+ (-2%) and AP 25-54 (-1%) all recording declines. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday were the only nights that experienced growth YOY, with Thursday recording the highest lift of 10% against AP 5+. Source: Nielsen TAM. C4/FOUR against AP 18-49 TV ONE HIGHLIGHTS AP 25-54 TV ONE experienced a small increase of 1% in audience (to 7.9 ratings) and share growth of 5% (to 22.5%) this week. From a yearly perspective both audience share losses were reported. Sunday night experienced the highest weekly lift of 34% with improved performance throughout the night (post 6pm). Yearly, Tuesday night remains the strongest. Year to date, TV ONE’s average audience is sitting at 7.5, compared to 9.2 in 2011. Four shows were in the top 10 programmes this week. Year on year, marginal audience and share losses were recorded. Monday night reported the highest weekly lift of 4% with Shortland St, Desperate Housewives and Revenge delivering improved ratings week on week. Yearly, Thursday night experienced a 22% lift. TV2’s average audiences are sitting at 8.0 compared to 9.1 last year. Eight of the top 10 programmes this week were on TV2.
