Unit20 Humour 教案
Teaching Aims:
1.Learn and master the new words and expressions of the text.
2.Learn something about comedy,clown and comedian,especially about crosstalk show.
3.Improve the students reading ability by reading the text.
Teaching Important Points:
1.How to master the new words and expressions of the text.
2.How to improve the students reading and writing ability.
Teaching Difficult Point:
How to get the students to grasp the main idea of a passage as soon as possible.
Teaching Methods:
1.Fast reading to improve the students reading ability.
2.Pair work or group work to get every student active in class.
3.Inductive method to make the students understand the text better.
Teaching Aids:
1.a recorder
2.a projector and some slides
3.a computer for multimedia use
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1.Greetings and Revision
Greet the whole class as usual.Teacher checks the students homework.
Step 2. Lead-in
T: Look at the screen. There are four pictures. Do you know who these comedians are? What makes them funny?
S:.......................
T: Mr. Bean is funny because he makes funny faces, he acts silly. He seems to be quite stupid, and the things he does are strange.
Dustin Hoffman is famous for his role acting as a woman.
Let students watch a video about Mr. Bean and some pictures of Dustin Hoffman.
Mr. Bean and Dustin Hoffman are both famous for their acting, while Maji is famous for crosstalk. So we can know that there are many forms of humour. That is to say, there are many ways to make people laugh.
Today, we will go to the reading language matters which talks about some forms of humour.
Step 3. Fast-reading
Listen to the tape and answer this question: What forms of humour are introduced in the text?

So we can easily divide the whole text into 4 paragraphs.
