Methods A total of 248 children withleu- kemia and 760 controlswere investigated through a case- control study fromJanuary 2002 to June 2007. Single factor analys- is, multiple- factor non- conditional logistic regression analysis and principal component analysis were used to analyze the data. Results Resultsfrom multiple- factor non- conditional logistic regression showed that such cases were closely re- lated with the following factors: children and pregnant women lived in the newly furnished and decorated housePapartment and insecticide- sprayed housePapartment ( \2 years) , pregnant women with history of habitual abortion and X- ray examina- tion, children exposed extremely low- fre uency electromagnetism fields, pregnant women exposed to pesticide, insecticide and petrol, and pregnant women with history of electromagnetismtools use and family history of genetic diseases and tumor. Six principal componentswere extracted through principal component analysis and the cumulative contribution of variances of the 6 principal components was 79. 773%.
