Abstract: Constitution, as the fundamental law of a state, is in a key position in the le al sy stem, and
should have the hi hest authority . Constitutional author ity lies in its authority in the le al text, in civic
aw ar eness and in social pr actice. T his paper review s the curr ent status of the authority of the Constitution
of China, and based on the absence of constitutional authority , puts forw ard such construction measur es as
le al system s, ideolo y, and social practice.
