Based on the ZieglerN ichols tuning method, a I controller for the generator excitation current is designed. Then the I controller for the coupling of engine speed and generator torque is also designed according to the tests of stability and tracking perform ances of closedloop system. Further, the control strategies for the dynam ic processes of A U are defined, based on stability criterion. Tests on hybrid electric vehicle show that the designed controller presents satisfactory stability and tracking perform ances in A U dynam ic process.
