Abstract: A ig t em perat ure infrared radiat coat ing for energy saving was developed w it iron c romium based
ig emissivity pow der, binder, additives and sintering aids. T e coatings w ere sintered at different temperatures.
T e c anges of microstructures, p ase composit ions and t e bonding interface betw een t e coating and firebrick
were invest igat ed by t ermal analysis, SEM, XRD and electron microprobe analysis. T e results indicate t at t e
spinel p ase formed by iron c romium based ig emissivity pow der is uniformly distribut ed in t e AlSi matrix
p ase, t e ent ire infrared radiation emissivity of t e coating is 0. 89. T e electron microprobe analysis and t ermal
s ock tests s ow ig bonding strengt betw een t e coating and t e firebrick.
