Then the microstructure of polymer phase in asphalt is obtaind by fluorescence optical microscopy. By analyzing the microstructure, sev- eral important factors that affect the rheological properties of B modified asphalt are concluded. Finally, ac- cording to rheology theory and the analysis, new equation that used to explain the relationship betw een rheo- logical properties and microstructure of B modified asphalt is set. The theory can be successfully used to ex- plain the listed complicated rheological properties of B modified asphalt.
