After discussing ab ut detective idea and principle f design, the index system f regi nal water res urces f r sustainable utilizati n was designed, which includes three levels, i. e. aim level, standard level and index level. Taking Anhui Pr vinces three natural ge graphic areas f r example, using principal c mp nent analysis and grey relati nal analysis, and c mbined with the established index system, the quantitative assessment was perf rmed f r sustainable utilizati n status f water res urces. The integrated assessment result can bjectively reflect the sustainable utilizati n status f the water res urces in the areas f Anhui: Jiangnan and Jianghuai are sustainable devel pment areas, but Huaibei is basically sustainable devel pment area. Based n the results, the pr blems in water res urces devel pment and utilizati n in these three areas were p inted and s me suggesti ns n the water res urces sustainable utilizati n f r the future p inted ut.
