The properties of the prepared productw ere as follow s: methylene blue adsorption value 86. 2 mL /g, iod ine adsorption value 806. 0 mg/g. The activated carbon was regeneratedw ith m icrowave after treatingw astew ater containing chrom ium (V I), and themethyl ene blue adsorption value w as 89. 4 mL /g, and the iod ine adsorption value was 95. 3 mg /g. The results showed that itw as equally successfu l in treating w astew ater contain ing chrom ium( V I) w ith before or after regenerated activated carbon.
