Unit1 How often do you exercise?
Learning objectives
Skills
Talk about their ordinary activities, including usual activities ,weekends activities, and so on by using different adverb words of frequency.
Knowledge
Using the following words properly: hardly, ever, always once, twice, three times and so on.
Describe their daily activities

Share their daily activities with the students each other.

Work in groups cooperative by dialogue practice
Improve their abilities by doing exercise and listening to the tape.

Vocabularies:
how often, usually, always, sometimes, hardly ever, never, every day ,practice with their partners and do some exercise to improve their memories from the text
Teaching procedure
Step1 Warming up and lead-in (3mins)
Talk about some sports they know and introduce new things
T: Do you like doing sports?
S1: Yes, I do/No , I don’t.
T: Do you do sports every day?
S2: Yes, I do/No, I don’t.
Step 2 Pre-reading (5mins)
Showing some pictures, learning some new words and letting some students read out their activities and add more they don’t know
T: What do you do on your spare time.
S3: reading. S4: going fishing. S5:…….
T: Look at these pictures, Make a list of the weekend activities, and learn some new words. Going shopping, surfing the Internet, exercising , read a book ,do homework and so on.
Step 3 Presentation and Practise (25mins)
Activity1 Learning and Practising
Give an example and then let students practice with partners according to given pictures
A: What does she usually do on weekends?
B: She often goes to the movies.
Step 4 Memory Challenging (10mins)
Presenting some pictures with words ,such as watch TV , go shopping, Let students make sentences with these words by using the structures we have learned before and practice the words and sentences again.
