Ex perimental study w as carried out to investigate the f lex ural capacity of the model girder w ith double unif ormly distributed load ．T he finite element model w as established based on the ex periment and the result s agreed w ith measurement result s ．T he eff ect of the w eb opening s on the girder w as ex plored ． T he result s demonstrated that the def lection caused by load on bottom plate of box girder w as ９.７％ more than that of load on the top plate ．T he def lection of girder w ith w eb opening is ２２.９％ ～ ２８.１％ greater than that of girder w ithout w eb opening ． Compared w ith girder w ithout w eb opening ，the shear lag of girder w ith w eb opening increased ，of w hich the maximum value w as ６２.０％ in various w orking conditions ． simply ‐supported concrete box girder w ith w eb opening s under double unif ormly distributed load aff ect the f
