The consumption of impulsive buying accounts for a large proportion of daily resident consumption, but few previous studies involving the effect of positive personality on the impulsive buying behavior. The study investigates the impulsive buying behavior of the optimistic and the pessimistic under time pressure which in different sizes and different sources of college students through computer simulation scenarios. The experiment uses questionnaire and experiment method to probe effect of three variables on the impulsive buying behavior. The results show that the main effect of positive personality traits is significant; the main effect of time pressures is significant; the main effect of time pressure sources is significant; the interaction of the three variables are not significant respectively.
