Abstract: Dif feren rock samples were loaded up o ex plore he response charac eris ics of he
acous ic w ave veloci y (A WV) in rock wi h s ress changing. T he es ing resul s show ed ha he
rela ionship be w een A WV and s ress goes up linearly in he linear elas ic load phase of grani e
and gneiss, and he rela ionship becomes nonlinearly quadra ic if A WV com es up o i s peak value
