Abstract: Research on tectonic movement, magmatic activit , sedimentation and mineralization indicate that the
Fuxin basin underwent three tectonic transitions during Meso- Cenozoic, i. e. compression- extension, extension-
compression and compression- extension which had ages of( 135- 120)Ma, 100 Ma and 40 Ma, respectivel . Surface
geological action in the basin is controlled b tectonic deformation in deep lithosphere. Magmatism, sedimentation and
mineralization in the basin are in response to geological action in the depth.
