Research Institute of L anz hou Pet roleum Processing Company , Sinopec , L anz hou 730060 , Gansu Province , China Abstract : A kind of pour point depressant ( PPD) 3 ,6O1 ,2 ,3 ,6tetrahydrobenzo1 ,2anhydride ester and/ or amide was synthesized via DielsAlder reaction using maleic anhydride and furan as reactants. The determinant of acid value shows that the rate of production exceeds 90 %. The measured cold flow plugging point of Daqing diesel indicates that the depressant belongs to paraffinb
